Tomorrow, the 16th of September, is Owain Glyndwr Day.
Many people know of the history of the Welsh national hero, but his last days following the failure of his rebellion to establish an independent Welsh nation are clouded in mystery (specifically because by that time he was a "wanted" man).
The following link has the information that the Prince of a (briefly) united Welsh nation, who enjoyed much support from Welsh monastic houses, may have ended his days as a Catholic Priest:
"...many believing he spent his last years as a priest in Kentchurch, Herefordshire near the manor of Sir John Scudamore..."
