Cafod Pound for Pound Family Fast Appeal

CAFOD's Lent Family Fast Day falls on Friday 02 March this year, when you (and other members of your family) are asked not only to abstain from meat but also to cut down on food and drink for that day. You are then invited to donate the money saved to CAFOD to help needy people in missionary areas overseas and to provide relief in the form of food and materials following disasters. To make your donation a box marked "CAFOD" will be available in the entrance to the church on Sunday 04 March (following the Family Fast Day on the Friday). Please note that the Government will match pound-for-pound the total amount of money raised for CAFOD in the three-month period between 17 February and 17 May 2012. Thank you for your generosity.

SVP Christmas Appeal 2010

SVP TWINNAGE – Sudan Christmas Appeal 2010: Hundreds of children die of starvation in Sudan every day. The most charitable works towards feeding these children are carried out by SVP than any other charitable organisations. It costs £40 to feed a child for a year. It’s that time of the year when we think of buying memorable gifts to our family and friends. In most of the cases, a gift is associated with Christmas and it is commercialisation of Christmas indeed. This year for a change, please do think of a gift that is pure CHARITY. As a family or individual please do sponsor food for a baby. It is exactly the meaning of Christmas; God giving us generously.
