Message from the Finance Office - DIOCESAN COLLECTION FOR SICK AND RETIRED CLERGY
Envelopes will be given out for the above collection this weekend and will be collected in two weeks time
which is the weekend of 20th/21st February.
The envelopes have the ‘Gift Aid declaration’ on the reverse which if completed makes a considerable difference to the total income.
The Diocese now has thirteen priests and four housekeepers in retirement, the cost implication to the Diocese last year was circa £124,000 as well as this we have to pay £33,000 p.a. into our pension fund for our existing priests.
Our Diocesan collection in 2009 contributed £13,650 towards our costs so please try and support this collection as much as possible. With our grateful thanks to all.
